| Abstrakt: | The article focuses on the play "Raising the Titanics," by Albert Belz. It states that the play is the latest work of Belz which is inspired from "Showband!," a memoir of Mahora Peters of her engagement with the Maori Volcanics. It says that Tainui Tukiwaho commissioned the play in celebration of showbands' golden age when Maori stars such as Billy T. James and Howard Morrison ruled. It notes that the play will be shown in Hawkins Theatre, Papakura on July 1-3, 2010. |
