| Abstrakt: | A chapter of the book "Birmingham: Public Sculpture Trails" is presented. It explores Trail 3, Central Commercial Area, which presents the sculpture of Robert Thomas titled "Hebe," representing the Greek goddess of youth. Other sculptures include "Old Square," a narrative relief mural in fibreglass with brass and iron, by Kenneth Budd, "Allegories of Science and Art" by William Ward, and "Allegory of Art and Industry" by Samuel Lynn. A description of the sculptures is also presented. |
