Abstrakt: The article presents information on the rehabilitation center of Tourvielle in Lyon, France, dedicated to disabled war veterans from World War I. According to the article, many quality artificial limbs were created in this center. An overview of its history of this center, along with a description, is proposed. The main objective of this center was to train former soldiers to several types of normal work activity. Details on the number of students in the center of Tourvielle in the end of 1917 are included. Information on artist Raphaël Freida is presented.
