The article examines the outbreak of an exotic species of mealybug, known as the Solenopsis mealybug, on cotton properties in Emerald, New South Wales. According to the authors, it is possible that the current infestation of cotton can be attributed to the introduction or the Solenopsis mealybug that may have been present for some time without an occurrence of an outbreak. The authors report that the Queensland Government have responded quickly to the mealybug outbreak. |
