Abstrakt: A chapter from the book "The American Women's Rights Movement: A Chronology of Events and Opportunities From 1600 to 2008" is presented. It features Margaret Mead, author of the bestseller "Coming of Age in Samoa," which was published in 1928. The book was based on her life with a Polynesian tribe and Mead showed evidence that social mores depend on the culture. Mead believes that women should not be forced to focus all their talents and energies to raising children.
