| Abstrakt: | The article examines the threat posed by Qais al-Khazali, the leader of the Shiite insurgent group As'aib Ahl al-Haqq in Iraq, to coalition forces led by the U.S. and to the Iraqi government. It presents a background of al-Khazali's ascent as one of the most lethal insurgents in the country. It cites several actions taken by the Shiite insurgent that contributed to the success of his resistance movement. Several moves that must be considered by the U.S. to counter al-Khazali's resistance movement are cited. |
