The article reports on the growing popularity of community supported agriculture programs (CSA) initiated by community agricultural groups in the U.S. It states that the marketing arrangement of CSA guarantees sales and customer loyalty and provides consumers with the opportunity to buy fresh and organic foods at a low and affordable prices. According to hog farmer Russ Kremer, farms that minimize non-therapeutic use in confined animal feeding operations (CAFOs) are healthy for animals and people. |
