The article focuses on a study which examined the effect of soya and whey protein on the growth and health of crossbred calves. Sixteen Karan Fries calves were used in the experiment and were divided into control and treatment groups. Calves fed with soya and whey protein supplemented diet demonstrated no significant difference in the body weight gain of calves. The body weight gain of soya treated calves were lower when compared to the animals in the control group. This is attributed to the high incidence of diarrhoea and stress of diet change. |
