| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study on the effect of the stimulation of locomotor muscle metaboreceptor on the ventilatory response to exercise in patients suffering from heart failure (HF). The study made use of 11 HF patients and 11 healthy control participants who underwent a three steady-state cycling sessions wherein the minute ventilation is measured all throughout the trial. The results how that the HF patients averaged 67% minute ventilation which manifests increased afferent neural activity. |
