Abstrakt: The article discusses the benefits and propagation of chia seeds, also known as Salvia hispanica. It states that chia is an annual herb that grows one meter tall and prefers sandy, free-draining soil to heavy clay. According to Whangamata gardener Carol Raethel, she discovered that chia is rich in minerals, vitamins, omega 3, and beneficial enzymes, and it could help normalise blood sugar levels. It also mentions that the chia leaves are a food source with healing properties.
