Abstrakt:	The article offers information on social market economy in Germany. Germany's market economy is stated to have made the nation the world's leading exporter. Some of the challenges encountered by the German social market economy include choice between market economy or planned economy and the German economic system. The gross domestic product grew in the first quarter of 2008. It is stated that it is necessary to find the balance between economic development and social equality. Innovation is stated to be an important basis for competition in the global economy. Education is stated to be significant in Germany in order to be winners of globalization.
