| Abstrakt: | A biography of British Lieutenant-Colonel Adrian Grant Duff, Companion of the Order of the Bath (CB), is presented. He was born on September 29, 1869 in London, England and graduated from the Royal Military College in 1889. Particular attention is given to his diary entries, which began on his 19th birthday. Topics include Duff's military service in India and his response to the news of the Highland Brigade's defeat in the Battle of Magersfontein, South Africa in 1899. |
