The article focuses on the Kidney End-of-Life Coalition, an initiative spearheaded by the Mid-Atlantic Renal Coalition that aims to improve the understanding of the people on the reality of death and dying, particularly in the dialysis patients and their families. It explains the functions of the Coalition's four workgroups such as hospice, advance care planning and physician education. It projects that the humanitarian concerns and the quality life of the patients must also be considered. |
