| Abstrakt: | The article presents the author's insights on the challenges in undertaking a practice-based nursing research project on basic "well woman" services in Newfoundland and Labrador. The province has one of the highest incidence rates of cervical cancer and lower rate of participation in cervical screening. Challenges to the project include a knowledge deficit, lack of funding and time constraints. A mixed qualitative-quantitative approach was used to provide detailed information. Advice is presented to novices on how to undertake research. |
