The article presents the author's views on operations of the U.S. Marine Corps in Iraq. The author details his experiences during his stay in Iraq in 2008 for the U.S. military service on counterinsurgency measures and reconstruction of Iraqi infrastructures. Moreover, the author claims that civil affairs initiated by the military will be improved through unity of command, hiring Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRTs) with adequate skills and deployment of personnel who can speak Iraqi language. |
