The article discusses about aging in human beings, both that are HIV-positive and negative. There are physical changes that occur in aging including cataracts in the eyes, shrinking of muscle strength and volume, and thinning of the skin. A study showed that HIV can impact aging when it found that 165 people with HIV that are aged over 55 years had high blood pressure, diabetes, and pulmonary diseases. The methods shown to slow down the aging process include stopping the habit of smoking, balancing alcohol intake, and taking aspirin. |
