Abstrakt: The article focuses on the multiple symmetric lipomatosis (MSL) also known as Madelung disease or Launois-Bensaude syndrome. It states that MSL is divided into three types including the type 1 which involves the neck region, and the type 2 which consists of the chest and shoulders that creates a pseudo-athletic appearance. Moreover, the surgical removal of the lipomatous masses of the disease is complicated and can happen again after surgery.
