Abstrakt: In this article the author discusses the promotion of social justice through art in New York. She highlights the lack of exposure of students to art institutions and the lack of educational development to incorporate the arts into the school curriculum. She comments on the inconsistencies of education certification programs to arts training which lead to lesser art encounters by students. She also presents the significance of aesthetic education rather than to focus on art education.
