Abstrakt: The article explores the history and development of the Pauls Stradiņš Museum of the History of Medicine in Rīga, Latvia. The author reflects on the training of medical students and the teaching of physician Pauls Stradiņš. The impact of political changes such as the death of dictator Josef Stalin is on the development of the museum is considered. Other political aspects include the emphasis on Soviet innovations in medicine during the communist era. Other topics include perestroika, storage of museum collections, and interior design of museum buildings.
