This section of the "Library and Book Trade Almanac," 54th edition focuses on the U.S. Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC), the central facility for the collection, storage, retrieval and dissemination of scientific and technical information for the Department of Defense (DoD). The center launched the new DTIC Online, a redesigned public Web site for DoD scientific and technical (S&T) information in summer 2008. The resources included in DTIC include research reports, research and development summaries and defense technology transfer agreements. |
