The article focuses on the civilizations in India and Italy. It states that the peculiarity of India's civilization being so multiethnic could play a part in creating in European imagination. It claims that contributions given by a number of scholars have helped Europeans understand that unusual Hindu iconography was to be found a complex symbolic word associated to philosophical and religious speculation. |
