Abstrakt: |
The article reflects on the consequences of the rise of state capitalism during globalization. Russia is cited as an example of the growing role of the state in industries. The article points out that Saudi Arabia, China, Iran, Venezuela, Brazil and Malaysia have developed national oil companies as an extension of their foreign and economic policies. Also noted is the use of political and economic incentives that aim to boost local competitors by political leaders who practice state capitalism. |
