| Abstrakt: | A conference paper about the foliage patterns and colours of New Zealand-bred bromeliads and factors affecting their characteristics is presented. It notes that in order to produce cold tolerant hybrids, the plants should be grown in an unheated twin-skin plastic house as shown by some of vrieseas, except for subtropical plants, that survived the frost. It also mentions the genetic traits passed on by parent plants, their maturity and foliage colour and pattern. |
