The article discusses the rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan in American football. The author traces the rivalry before football wherein the two states were involved in a border dispute that climaxed in 1835 and was won by Michigan. He chronicles the football rivalry between the two states from 1897 to 1992. The author also discusses several games between the two states. As of 2009, Michigan has won 57 times while Ohio, 43. In the Conference Championship, Michigan won or shared 42 titles, Ohio State 30. |
