The article focuses on three pedagogical models of higher education, Socratic methods, lecture and discussion approaches and team projects, and discusses the opportunities offered by online technologies in improving educational strategies. It discusses how online technologies are helpful for team projects such as collaborative writing where peer-to-peer learning can enhance traditional educational strategies. It mentions that these technologies help in transforming the educational process by empowering students to interact with the teacher as well as others beyond the classroom. It talks about the need to incorporate the project-based work pedagogy for honors courses to provide occasions for maturing students to perform as principal investigators (PIs) and team leaders. |
