Abstrakt: This article explores the key features of collaborative practice of family law matters in Australia. It considers collaborative law as an area of law for practitioners that requires them to have additional skills and responsibilities. It discusses the case of Webb & Birkett which focuses on the lawyer's duty of care in collaborative matters. In addition, the article identifies the features of collaborative law: the collaborative contract, interest-based negotiations, four-way meetings and negotiation meetings.
