The article presents the author's insights on the establishment of an advancement office for the alumni University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) in Japan. It explores how the Asia-based position was realized through the sponsorship of various entities. It says that the strategic plan of UW aims to build international collaboration, create international internships, and increase the opportunities for studying abroad. The role of the Asia-based position in promoting UW in the region is noted. |
