The article presents a study that deals with numerical models for structural assessment of liquefied natural gas membrane containment system (CCS). The authors used numerical tools such as Finite Elements Method to assess the CCS systems which were submitted to thermal and mechanical constraints. A proper representation of the complex and non linear behaviour of the CCS was obtained based on the numerical models developed and validated, according to the authors. |
