The article features writer Willem Cornelis Jacobus (Boeli) van Leeuwen and his writings. Van Leeuwen was born in Curacao in 1922. After his retirement as secretary of the island, he provided free legal services, wrote articles on legal matters, as well as weekly newspaper columns. His writings include "The First Adam" (De Eerste Adam), "Shields of Clay" (Schilden van Leem, and "The Sign of Jonah" (Het Teken van Jonah). Chapters III and IV of his novel "A Stranger on Earth" are also presented. |
