The article offers information on the activities that will happen at the sky in night time, in the final part of the International Year of Astronomy 2009 (IYA2009). It states that as the sun continues to move southerly latitudes, there will be long time for night hours which means that the sun will rise later and sets earlier. It adds that an autumnal equinox will occur on September 22, 2009, in which the sun will intersect the celestial equator that will have an equal day and night on earth. |
