Abstrakt: The article reports that the sales of hotels in Canada in the first 6 months of 2009 fell by 75% as compared to the first 6 months of 2008, in monetary value, $156 Million and $621 Million, respectively. Only 24 hotels across Canada were sold in the first half of 2009, as compared to the 63 hotels in the first half of 2008. Further, the average price per room in 2009 is $60,400, while in 2008, it amounts to $107,500.
