The article focuses on the works of art that were given to French national museums after being stolen by Nazis in the French occupation period, during World War II, referred to as Musées nationaux récupération (MNR). Information on the exhibition "À qui appartenaient ces tableaux? La politique française de recherche de provenance, de garde et de restitution des oeuvres d'art pillées durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale," held in Paris, France, from June 24, 2008 to September 28, 2008, is presented. |
