| Abstrakt: | A biography of Charles Eliezer Hillel Kauvar, pioneering zionist and rabbi of the Beth Ha Medrosh Hagodol Synagogue in Denver, Colorado for 69 years, is presented. He was born on August 14, 1879 in Vilna, Lithuania and studied at the Henry Street School. He earned a Masters Degree from Columbia University in 1901 and graduated as a valedictorian from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 1902. He married Belle Gertrude Bluestone in 1909. |
