Chapter 15 of the book "Skipper Worse" is presented. It discusses the death of Henriette Torvestad and the final hours before skipper Jacob Worse died. Henriette drowned herself near the market quay. Her death received varied reactions from the townspeople and has awakened a guilty conscience among the Haugians. Madam Torvestad and Sara were devastated while Worse is dying. Sara and her fellow Haugians offered prayers and Worse died with happy thoughts about his homecoming from Rio de Janeiro. |
