Abstrakt: The article focuses on the subsurface biofilter cell system construction project in Irvine, California intended for the removal of selenium and nitrate from dry weather flows in Peters Canyon Channel. Cited are the components of a geosynthetic liner system, including a high density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane, a nonwoven geotextile and a geonet/geonet composite. It notes that geosynthetics served as a nonreactive barrier for environmental isolation of the biofilter cell.
