The article offers information on control valves. It says that control valves may sometimes be the most neglected part of a control loop because of the unfamiliarity of the instrument engineer with the facets, languages and areas of engineering disciplines. The difference between automated and control valves is the capability of the latter to regulate an infinite number of throttling travel locations during normal control service. It also discusses the basic parts of a control valve such as the valve body subassembly, the actuator and accessories. |
