The article presents a study which investigates the re-emergence of yellow fever in Abidjan Area in Côte d'lvoire 2008. The area was previously attacked with the epidemic spread of yellow fever in 2001 causing mass immunization campaign. The Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene of Côte d'lvoire conducted a mass immunization campaign to evaluate the cause of the disease. It revealed that the new incidence of yellow fever could be caused by several factors such as the reception of 70% of forced migration people due to the crisis in the country occurred in 2002 and the drop of preventive immunization. |
