Abstrakt: The article focuses on the arguments of H. Cappelen and E. Lepore (C&L) relative to hidden indexicals and pronouns. It presents three case studies in which C&L offer sentences for consideration in the first case, the second case comments that the first argument is an interesting premise, however, it is far too strong to be plausible, while the third argument leaves a question on why do event variables license anaphora while Stanley and Szabo (S&S) variables do not. It concludes that the first case lacks plausability and needs to be rejected and provides no paradigm by which to judge. It states that there is no reason to posit co-habiting to accommodate the variable if the hidden structure is not typically anaphora-licensing.
