Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study which assessed the efficacy of adding quetiapine to citalopram in treatment-naive or medication-free obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) patients. The study included 76 OCD patients who were randomly assigned in a 10-week, double blind trial with 60 milligrams of citalopram per day plus 300-450 milligrams of quetiapine, or placebo. It concluded that combined quetiapine and citalopram is more effective than citalopram alone in reducing OCD symptoms.
