Abstrakt: | The article discusses factors that cause African-Americans with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) to face the disease with much difficulty. In 2006, 84% percent of HIV cases occurred among African-Americans and infected people of this race has higher percentage of death caused by diabetes and heart diseases compared to Latinos and white people. Another factor is that this race is having a hard time getting HIV treatment immediately. Genetic factors reportedly play an important role specially the way the bodies of African-Americans respond to treatment. |
