Abstrakt: The article presents information on the MONDO surface ocean monitoring program using 40 lagragian drifters in an offshore drilling operation in Santos Basin, Brazil. Through September to November 2007, the program periodically deployed drifters to monitor eddy activities and ocean dynamic predictability. Results show that the number of anticyclonic eddies is a little higher than cyclonic ones with the rotation period ranging between 16 (anticyclonic) to 21 days (cyclonic).
