Abstrakt: The article discusses the study that evaluated the long-term outcome and patient safety for a radical hysterectomy (RH) in pregnant women with invasive cervical cancer. It states that the median treatment period was 17 weeks of gestation and pelvic lymph node metastases were observed in all patients. It adds that radical hysterectomy can be safely performed even during pregnancy and subsequent cesarean section.
