An interview with Nadje Al-Ali, co-author of the book "What Kind of Liberation? Women and the Occupation of Iraq, is presented. When asked about her major concern regarding the U.S. occupation of Iraq in 2003, she refers to the high number of Iraqis that have died resulting to the increased number of women who became widows. She cites that Iraq has been controlled by many dictators and political parties, which does not constitute democracy. She explains her view about the U.S. military spending in Iraq. |
