The article explores the stability and performance of extendable draft semisubmersible (ESEMI) under the pre-service condition in Gulf of Mexico. The structural frame model of the extendable columns was affixed at the second tier pontoon (STP) and connected by the fender spring model to the hull. The horizontal movement of the spring relies on the gap between the extendable columns and the connector. Values of the metacenter were dependent on the hull draft. |
