Abstrakt: In modern legal life, judges and other judicial officers are confronted by ever-increasing lists and the pressure to produce judgments as quickly as possible. From time to time delays occur in the writing of judgments, with various consequences. This article looks at the law that applies when a judgment is delayed, particularly in the context of appeals from delayed judgments. Two types of delay are examined. Delay between hearing and judgment, and delay between the delivery of judgment and the delivery of reasons. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
