Abstrakt: The article discusses the prognostic factors and management strategies regarding the treatment of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMNs). Despite advances in imaging techniques, such as the advent of computed tomography (CT) scanning and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), there is still limited ability to preoperatively differentiate between these lesions. Before the WHO recognized IPMNs as an entity in 1996, they were reported under a variety of names in the literature.
