The article presents a profile of the Iowan publisher, author and historian Thomas Gregg. Details are given providing biographical facts and anecdotes from the life of Gregg, particularly noting the circumstances of his childhood, his education and his entrance into the printing trade. Several of his successful ventures as a periodicals publisher are described in different towns throughout Iowa along with mention of his additional contributions as an author. Additional comments are included highlighting the character of Gregg, complimenting his civic-mindedness in his writings. |
