Abstrakt: The article presents detailed treatment updates for diabetic foot problems. Various factors are associated with poor ulcer healing, including neuropathy, peripheral arterial disease, microcirculatory dysfunction, hyperglycaemia and infection. It suggests the use of a monofilament to test the patient's foot sensation and mentions the features of an ulcer to look for during foot assessment. Also discussed are the prevention and eradication of infection, ulcer care through debridement and conservative management, and home and social assessment of patients.
