The article reports on a case of a Langerhans cell histiocytosis arising in a setting of a periapical cyst exhibited by a 42-year-old woman. In particular, the article discusses the clinical, radiographic and histopathiological features of the said condition. Also discussed are the treatment and prognosis of Langerhans cell histiocytosis. The need to submit for histopathological examination all tissue removed from the body as a part of a disease control activity is stressed. |
