The article describes the association of three Proconiini leafhopper species with pinyon pines in the U.S. It notes that Cuerna curvata Oman and Beamer is associated with Pinus monophylla. It indicates that C. obtusa Oman and Beamer is also associated with P. endulis Engelm. Moreover, it indicates that the host-plant relationships within the xylem-feeding leafhooper subfamily Cicadellinae are known mostly as polyphagous species. |
